This page explains what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies our website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. We try to use as little of this as possible.
What is browser storage?
"Cookies" and "localStorage" are small bits of data your browser saves on your device. They let a website remember things between visits (like your language preference) or between page loads (like whether you've dismissed a popup).
What we use, and why
We use a consent banner to control non-essential cookies. Essential storage below is always active because the site needs it to work. Advertising cookies are off by default and are set only if you choose "Accept" on the banner. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.

Advertising (set only after you accept)
We run Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ads ID AW-18182688320) to measure which ads lead to bookings and calls. It loads only after you accept advertising cookies on our banner. When active, it sets:

Other analytics or marketing tools
Aside from the Google Ads conversion tracking described above, we do not currently run general website analytics (such as Google Analytics) or a Meta/Facebook pixel. If we add any such tool in the future, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy and gate it behind the same consent banner before turning it on.
Third-party content embedded on the site
Some pages load resources or services from third parties: the Setmore online booking widget (on our booking section), Google Fonts, Unsplash images, the Tailwind CSS CDN, and the Google Maps link target. These providers may set their own cookies when their content loads. Setmore is used so you can book an appointment; see Setmore's Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party cookies; review each provider's policy for details.
How to control browser storage
- Clear our storage: open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to Application → Local Storage →
www.abesautorepair.com, and delete the keys. - Block storage: most browsers let you block cookies and localStorage in settings. If you block our two keys, the site will still work, but your language will reset to English on every visit and the discount popup will appear more often.
- Consent banner: reject or customize advertising cookies any time through the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. Advertising is off until you accept.
- Global Privacy Control / Do Not Sell or Share: we honor the GPC browser signal as an opt-out of advertising cookies and "sharing" of personal information for advertising. You can also use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer.
