Auto Repair · Apache Junction · Free Brake & Battery Check
The East Valley shop that picks up the phone. Serving Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, and east Mesa. Whatever the car is doing, a noise, a light, a leak, a shudder, or it just will not start, bring it in and we will tell you what is actually wrong. Photos and measurements texted to you, a written quote before we touch anything, and the owner checks the car himself. Family-owned, 12 month / 12,000 mile parts and labor warranty. Hablamos español.
The offer · Ends October 1
Any paid service, an oil change included, unlocks a free brake performance check (the same pad and rotor workup described below) and a free battery and charging system test. Summer heat is what kills batteries in Arizona, and the failures show up on the first cool mornings. You get the measurements and photos texted to you, and a written quote before we touch anything. Offer ends October 1.
What we do
Most people come to us after somebody else handed them a number with no explanation. We work the other way. We find the cause, we show you the evidence, and we price the fix in writing before anything happens.
We scan the codes, then we actually test the circuit the code points at. A code is a symptom, not an answer. Plenty of shops replace the part the code names, hand you a bill, and the light comes back next week.
Grinding, clunking over bumps, a shimmy in the wheel at freeway speed, or the car pulling to one side. We road test it with you if that helps us hear what you are hearing, then put it on the lift and find it.
Oil, coolant, transmission, power steering, or brake fluid. We find where it is coming from rather than topping it off and sending you out. In Arizona heat a slow coolant leak becomes a head gasket faster than most people expect.
Pads and rotors measured with real tools and the numbers written on the photo we text you. Shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, and wheel bearings checked on the lift. Nothing gets replaced because it is old, only because it is worn out.
No start, slow crank, or a battery light. We load test the battery, the alternator, and the starter separately, because a new battery does not fix a dying alternator and you should not have to pay to learn that twice.
Oil, filters, fluids, belts, and hoses on the schedule your car actually calls for, not a menu built to hit a sales target. If something can wait six months, we say so and write it down for next time.
Why people switch to us
Every national chain in the East Valley pays its service writers on ticket size. That is not a conspiracy, it is just how the model works, and it is why you get handed a list of six things when you came in for one. Abe owns the shop, Abe looks at your car, and Abe has to see you at the grocery store. That is the whole difference and it changes every number on your invoice.
Not a service advisor reading off a tablet. The person who diagnoses the car is the person whose name is on the building.
A written line item quote goes to you before a wrench moves. You approve what to do now, what can wait, and what to skip entirely.
Parts and labor, on every repair we perform. If it comes back inside that window on the same fault, it is on us.
Arizona is hard on cars
Heat is the thing that actually wears cars out here. Rubber hardens and cracks, so belts, hoses, and bushings fail early. Fluids break down faster than the manual assumes, because the manual was written for a national average that does not include a 115 degree afternoon. Batteries cook from the inside all summer and then quit on the first cool morning in October.
Add the grades out toward Gold Canyon and the Superstitions and you get brake and cooling loads that a flat-city car never sees. A shop that has worked on East Valley cars for twenty years knows which parts fail here first, and that is most of what a good diagnosis really is.
Book any paid service through October 1 and the brake and battery check comes with it, free.
Bring it in for
We do not perform Arizona state emissions testing. If that is what you need, we will tell you where to go instead of selling you something else.
How it works
Tell us what the car is doing in your own words. You do not need the right terminology. We give you a same-day window during business hours when we can.
On the lift, tested properly, with the free brake and battery check included. You get photos and measurements by text, not a verbal summary you have to take on faith.
A written line item quote. You approve what to do now, what can wait, and what to skip. Nothing happens without your sign-off.
Most jobs finish same day. Every job ends with a road test before pickup. Parts and labor covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
What customers say
Real reviews from real customers in the East Valley.
“Abe is solid. I showed up needing brake work. He charged me a little over $100 for what would have been over $450 elsewhere due to unnecessary add-ons. Patient, honest, no upsell.”
“Never will I ever see another mechanic as long as I live. My vehicle has been to Abe's three times now, for different issues every time, because when Abe fixes it, it stays fixed.”
“Abe is hands down one of the nicest, most straight-shooting guys I've come across in a mechanic shop. He always jumps right on the job, gets it done fast and efficient.”
Easiest call you'll make this week
A noise, a light, a leak, a shudder, or a car that will not start. Describe it however it comes out. We will find a time the same business day when we can, and the brake and battery check is free with any paid service through October 1.

Questions
A brake performance check (pad thickness measured in mm at every wheel, rotors measured with a micrometer, calipers and hoses inspected, brake fluid moisture test) and a battery and charging system test (load test on the battery, alternator, and starter, plus terminal and cable inspection). Both come free with any paid service through October 1. They are inspections only, and anything we find is quoted in writing before we touch it.
No. Abe's does not perform Arizona state emissions testing, and we will not pretend otherwise to get you in the door. We can diagnose and repair what caused a failed test, which is a different job and one we do all the time.
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people call us. Bring the written estimate. We will inspect the car ourselves and tell you which line items we agree with, which ones can wait, and which ones we would not do at all. If the other shop was right, we will say that too.
Same business day in most cases if you call in the morning. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Call 480-232-7484 and we will tell you honestly what today looks like rather than booking you and making you wait.
Parts and labor for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, on the repairs we perform. If the same fault comes back inside that window, you bring it in and we make it right at no charge.
